At the beginning of July, from 1st to 3rd, two teams from Horizon International Schools, Mandalay campus participated in the 2nd University English Debate Tournament, which was held in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Technological University Mandalay (GTI, GTC, TU) Engineering Education.
Our students competed against university students, and despite the age difference among them, the first prize went to one of our teams called Triple J. It was so named because the three members are Joshua (a) Oke Soe Khant from Grade 9, Jacqueline (a) Aye Sandar Kyaw from Grade 9 and Jasmine (a) May Shun Lae Aung. The other team also did a great job, as they were not defeated even once throughout the competition.
Only due to the point system, they were eliminated for the final round. We hereby congratulate the students for their hard work and achievement, and the teachers for their dedication and sacrifice.
