It was such an honor to be a part of the recent Kuala Lumpur Engineering Science Fair (KLESF) at MIECC, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia from November 3 to 5, 2017. Through the cooperation of KLESF International Delegates Coordinator— Ms. Lee Woan Shiang and Bahan International Science Academy (BISA) Olympiad Coordinator—Mrs. Yadnar Wint Maung, our institution’s representatives were able to participate this year’s prestigious STEM project competition. Our student delegates from Year 10, Mr. Kyaw Min Oo and Mr. Zaw Myint Tun took part for KLESF Challenge 2017 with their scientific project entry: “Digestive Property of Heart-Leaved Moonseed (In-Vitro)”, which earned BRONZE Medal for Secondary School Category.
In behalf of Bahan International Science Academy, we would like to express our gratitude to: Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) for making KLESF 2017 a successful event which enabled students to exhibit and enhance their keen interest in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics and encouraged visitors to appreciate the importance of STEM in global development and socio-economic sustainability. We wish KLESF more successes in their endeavor of discovering and supporting young scientists and engineers and we also hope that more initiatives such as this will be more encouraged so that more students will have more outlets for their creativity, passion, talents and skills.
