The students of Horizon International Schools have once again proved that they have the ability to successfully represent Myanmar at an international level. A team from our schools, Chemistry teacher Mr. Enes Emin Yilmaz, students Kyaw Maung Maung Tet Toe, Aung Hein Oo and Paing Phyo Thiha, has recently returned from 11thInternational Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2014 that was held in Mendoza, Argentina. The competition, that started on December 2 and continued through December 11, consisted of multiple-choice questions and experimental tests on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics and students from 42 countries of the world competed to score the highest. After days of answering questions and doing experiments two of our students, Kyaw Maung Maung Tet Toe and Aung Hein Oo received Bronze Medals, who continued our tradition of successful participation in international events. Apart from the competition, the participants were taken around Mendoza to see popular destinations including a famous Natural Reserve, YPF Energy Company and a High Mountain Tour.
We extend our appreciation to everyone involved in preparing the students for this competition, especially their teachers and parents and we wholeheartedly congratulate them on this remarkable achievement.
